These filters are used in filter systems both in industrial processes to protect plant and personnel and in Building Services Engineering to ensure optimum indoor air quality (IAQ).
Through adsorption - a process in which molecules are bound to the porous surface of the activated carbon - these Compact filters filter particles that are many times smaller than those retained by conventional HEPA and ULPA filters. This makes them particularly effective in environments where a high level of air purity is required and which are contaminated with gases.
