Our comprehensive modular system for engine optimization, the Blue Engine Care System, focuses on four main areas:

Oil maintenance

We set new standards in oil maintenance with our patented high-speed technology. The Blue.jet oil centrifuge may be used for combustion engines as well as for hydraulic oil applications – i. e. wherever pollution negatively affects the lubricity of the oil.

The centrifuge does not take up a lot of space, and due to its special built provides markedly improved separation rates and a constantly high separation output at a minimum weight for the oil maintenance system.

The clear product advantages result from the innovative separation of the volume flows between the drive unit and the actual dirt collection chamber to the centrifuge. Centrifuge operation only requires 5 % of the circulating oil volume, with the partial flow to be cleaned being led to the dirt cleaning chamber without using any pressure. Owing to the long stay in the dirt accumulator, the oil is cleaned in a very efficient way. Moreover, this principle produces maximum speeds of up to 10,000 rpm and thus it enables the separation of particles <1µm.

A matter of two minutes.

Our patented clip technology ensures that maintenance is done in only two minutes and without requiring any special tools. In addition, the Blue.jet oil maintenance system helps protect the environment, as the exchangeable dirt collection chamber can be completely incinerated.

The Blue.jet centrifuge stands for wear protection on a high level, prolonged maintenance intervals and for generally longer periods of use. It may be used for all diesel engine classes and can be mounted as a stand-alone version for original equipment or retrofitting.

Oil maintenance with Blue.jet efficiently contributes to a reduction of maintenance and operating costs as well as a reduction of the risk of oil-related downtimes.

Modern engines use Common Rail injection systems to meet the high requirements of current emission laws and to reduce fuel consumption. High-quality fuels are used for the operation of the engines. This requirement is in contradiction with the frequently adverse conditions of use in the field of off-highway applications. As the engines are often refueled on site from canisters and mobile fuelling facilities, water and dirt particles frequently get into the injection systems of the engines, where they may quickly cause serious damage.

That is why we focused on efficient water separation in the pre-filter and on high separation rates in the main filter when we developed the Blue.maxx modular system.

The user requires efficient cleaning of the fuel even in adverse application conditions, reliable protection against the smallest of dirt particles as well as improved safety, long life and reliability for the operation of the engine: These advantages are all combined in Blue.maxx. The system can be assembled in a flexible way from the modular components and offers variable possibilities of connection. Currently, engine sizes from 300 l/h to 450 l/h are covered, higher volume flows can be achieved by a parallel switching of both units. The pre-filter provides pre-filtration and water separation, the main filter in-depth filtration. Depending on the application, both filters may be combined according to the requirements. We offer a selection of many different filter media for different requirements in terms of filter fineness and the service life of the main filter.

As to service, the well-tried ENERGETIC®-System from Hengst reveals its advantages: easy and quick service owing to the filter insert clipped into the screw cover as well as resource-saving and environmentally-friendly characteristics due to the use of completely incinerable inserts. Active mounting protection of the filter inserts ensures that the engine cannot be operated without a filter or with an inappropriate filter.

The modular system is completed by the optional use of a manual pump, a fuel heater and a water sensor in the pre-filter.
Owing to these options, the Blue.maxx fuel filter can be easily adjusted to any engine concept, existing or new.

Cooling agent maintenance

The Blue.care maintenance system may be used to keep the cooling agent clear of any foreign bodies, but also to extend the service life of the cooling agent by optionally applying additives. Both solutions will markedly prolong the service intervals.

For most applications using Blue.care, no change of the cooling agent will be required during the entire engine life.

The Blue.care maintenance system for cooling agent is available in different versions and quantities: It is sold as a hanging or as a standing version and thus it is also particularly suitable for any subsequent engine optimization.

Good for maintenance, good for the environment.

With the so-called cup system, the exchange of the filter / additive cartridge during maintenance can be done quickly and without losing any cooling agent – moreover, the system is extremely environmentally friendly, as the quantity of waste is sustainably reduced during filter exchange and the filter insert can be incinerated completely.

The Blue.care maintenance product for cooling agent is either available as a mere filter system, as a mere additive system or as a filter with additives. An additional variant for cooling agent maintenance is a special compact series-connected system. This so-called “Inline-System” is designed to add additives to the cooling agent without a filtration function.

Oil mist separation systems protect the engines and the environment, as the so-called blow-by gasses that may occur during the operation of combustion engines were often emitted from the crankcase without being cleaned. Strict emission limits for combustion engines, which have been introduced in most countries, ensure that blow-by gasses loaded with oil mist should no longer be emitted to the environment.

Disk or fiber separator?

The user basically has the choice between disk and fiber separators. Hengst disk separators work according to the principle of centrifugal force, are maintenance-free and achieve above-average separation rates. Compact dimensions and variable connections allow for easy placement in the engine compartment. Disk separators can be extended individually with optional components such as pressure control, onboard diagnosis and non-return valve.

Hengst fiber separators are particularly appropriate for easy retrofitting to minimize oil consumption and reduce emissions. The blow-by gases pass through a fiber medium; the oil particles stay on the fibers and are separated. Besides their compact dimensions, another convincing feature of the fiber separators is their high efficiency and service-friendliness.
